Season 6 Episode 2 “Luxor Walk” – Wednesday, August 11 at 10 PM ET/PT Criss Angel attempts to defy the laws of gravity and walk up the entire side of the Luxor Hotel and Casino which rises more than 650 feet above the Las Vegas strip and disappear into the incinerating light atop the pyramid in front of thousands of spectators.
Season 6 Episode 3 “Cement Shoes” – Wednesday, August 18 at 10 PM ET/PT
An homage to Harry Houdini’s most dangerous escape, Criss is chained and shackled with more than 100 feet of chains and more than 20 locks and lowered 90 feet from the side of the London Bridge in the cold, murky water of Lake Havasu, Arizona in front of 12,000 spectators. To make the escape even more impossible and drowning an almost certainty, Criss has his feet imbedded in a barrel of cement before being lowered off the bridge and deep into the lake below.
Season 6 Episode 4
“Smash”
At the monumental Grand Canyon Sky Walk, in front of more than one thousand onlookers, Criss is shackled and locked inside a confining solid crate except for holes to view his face and hands at all times. The crate is then hoisted over the edge of the canyon more than 4,200 feet above the Colorado River. Criss reveals his process of escape but if he does not succeed in time, he will fatally crash to the rocky depths below.
Season 6 Episode 5
“Levitation Vanish”
With Criss’ chaotic schedule, including his live performance of BeLIEve ten times each week, the taping of his hit TV series and moving into Serenity, his new home, Criss decides to escape the city for the Valley of Fire deep into the Mojave desert. In this remote and mystical place, Criss will attempt to miraculously levitate more than 100 feet up into the sky and then vanish.

“100 Gone”
The Guinness World Records is on hand and sets the test conditions as Criss attempts the largest vanish of people in history at the Luxor Convention Arena. Teen singing sensation Justin Bieber was in Kansas City Wednesday night for a concert, which only means one thing -- the controversial Westboro Baptist Church decided to show up and stage a protest. What problem could this group possibly have with Bieber? Here's what they claim in a statement:
"Justin Bieber has a platform given to him by God to speak to this world... but he refuses to do that because he knows his concert halls would be empty!"
Really, though, it appears that this church is just more interested in having a platform to fire off their message of hate. They recently protested concerts both for Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga, which led to both singers reminding their fans of what really matters -- love.
A local Kansas City TV affiliate captured the scene outside the concert, which had some parents thankfully firing back at the church for protesting the concert of a 16-year old kid with a positive message.

Justin Bieber's upcoming appearance on the season premiere of "CSI" has been the talk of plenty of discussion, but not always for necessarily the right reasons. At first, there were some people wondering about the "prison photo" when he first posted it on his Twitter -- only to then discover it was from his part as a "troubled teen" on the hit CBS drama.
Now, we have a situation involving a photo that isn't even from the show at all. Obviously in an attempt to shock people, someone reportedly photoshopped a picture of Justin smoking a pipe. Of course, this isn't true. Even if Bieber was simulating drug use on "CSI", he would put up some sort of caption proclaiming that the act of smoking is not real. (Even then, taking a role that involved drug use would be sending a bizarre message to his fans anyway.)
Therefore, categorize this photo in the "don't believe everything you see" category -- right next to all of the other Justin Bieber rumors out there surrounding if he is alive or not.

Justin Bieber's favourite treats have been revealed after his tour rider has been exposed, with sweets and French fries topping the request list.
The 16-year-old 'Baby' singer is apparently a huge fan of Sour Patch Kids and Gummy Worms and has a good snack on them before he hits the stage.
Between Bieber and his 'My World' tour crew, which includes musicians, dancers and stage team, they munch their way through around 10,000 French fries and 75 Starbucks drinks each day.
The tour needs a huge amount of kit. The rider includes 30 miles of electrical cable, 20 guitars, 14 drum sticks, 20 rolls of electrical tape and 10 disco balls. With all the instruments and equipment, the tour needs 11 buses and apparently over 500 cases are used to keep all of the sweets.

In a history-making appearance on The View on Thursday, the President talked about the music on his iPod, and while Jay-Z made the cut, the Bieb did not. "I do not have Justin Bieber," he said. "I have met Justin Bieber; he came to sing at the White House. He's a very nice young man."
At Christmas in Washington event in December, Justin was super excited to meet our Commander-in-Chief, tweeting: "Oh yeah...and I did meet President Obama!! Got to sing for him too. I was nervous for sure." But the Canadian singer got over his nerves, owning the stage at the White House's annual Easter Egg Roll and performing in front of the first family once again.

North Korea may launch a long-range ballistic missile towards Hawaii on American Independence Day, according to Japanese intelligence officials.
The missile, believed to be a Taepodong-2 with a range of up to 4,000 miles, would be launched in early July from the Dongchang-ni site on the north-western coast of the secretive country.
Intelligence analysts do not believe the device would be capable of hitting Hawaii's main islands, which are 4,500 miles from North Korea.
The United Nation Security Council need to look into this threat. This news however has to be confirmed. We shall wait for updates.

I arrived in Colombo in the early hours of Wednesday morning from Christchurch via Singapore. From zero degree celcius to 35 degrees in a day is a bit of a shock to the system. But I arrived with such fond memories of NZ. It was the Tui, the Kea and the Kereru (wood pigeon) who welcomed me back, and an avalanche or two acknowledged my presence. Here are a few photos of the birds and my places of pilgrimage.

A pilgrimage to Arthur's Pass is something I do every trip and look up at Rolleston and say a silent prayer to John Harrison, Bruce Ferguson, Colin Robertson, Michael Harper and Jeffrey Wilby who died in the winter of 1966 in that terrible tragedy. and think of the bravery of rescuers Peter Squires, Ian Gardiner and Hans Bohney who received the Royal Humane Society medal for their efforts. New Zealand mountaineering came of age in that fateful winter of 1966.

This post has been about places of pilgrimages, that I make on my return to NZ each year. At the forefront of my mind is thoughts and nmemories of those climbing partners who I spent so many happy weeks with in the hills. Quite a few have died. Gollum and Donald have both made reference to Chris Jillet, and surprisingly, we have all climbed with him in at different times. I post this photo to honour a wonderful mountaineer and a superb human being.

Throughout the 2000 year history of Christianity there has always been a vein of Dominionism embedded in the strata of doctrines. This seam has ebbed and flowed for 20 centuries, sometimes submerged, sometimes exposed. Whenever out in the open, it has given rise to horrible abuses done in the name of Christ. In the early 21st century, once again this vein is now showing and active. Keep in mind:
Dominionism is always an aberration of true Christian theology.
A remnant of believers has always opposed it, often suffering a martyr’s fate at the hands of intolerant Dominionists.
Traditional Christianity teaches:
The Gospel of Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and His shed blood on the cross. The emphasis is placed upon repentance and conversion of individual souls. The Kingdom of God in this age is spiritual and grows through efforts of evangelism based on teaching the Bible. It is “not of this world” (John 18:36), but a spiritual rule in the hearts of men (Luke 17:20-21). Furthermore, the Kingdom of God is only finally realized upon Christ’s second return to Earth, whereby He Himself establishes His literal and physical reign. [1]
War Within the Church
The Dominionists will be intolerant to mainline believing Christians. They know this and have already been talking about it.
Then I turned and saw the army of the Lord standing behind me. There were thousands of soldiers, but they were still greatly outnumbered. I was shocked and disheartened as it seemed that there were actually many more Christians being used by the evil one than there were in the army of the Lord. I also knew that the battle that was about to begin was going to be viewed as The Great Christian Civil War because very few would understand the powers that were behind the impending conflict (Rick Joyner, The Final Quest, 1996, p.22).
Rick Joyner's prognostications about the upcoming Christian Civil war are many and various. In May 1996, Joyner sent out a message entitled 'Civil War in the Church'. He makes the following points:
1. This is the greatest time of expectation in the history of Christianity- reconciliation and renewal are taking place everywhere and the church is growing at 200,000 people a day.
2. There is an advance of ecumenism and the breaking down of denominational barriers (including Catholic/Protestant) thanks to Christian TV.
3. Satan is about to test the church's new unity.
4. In 1988, 1993, 1995 and Feb 1996, Joyner was shown that the church is headed for an inevitable spiritual civil war.
5. It will be "an opportunity to drive the accuser out of the church, for the church then to come into a unity that would otherwise be impossible".
6. "[It will be] the end of Christianity as we know it. The very definition of Christianity will be changed, for the better."
7. "The church that emerges will be full of unprecedented grace, truth and power."
8. The conflict will be extremely costly and prolonged.
9. The primary issue (as with the American Civil War) at stake will be the eradication of "the spiritual slavery and oppression now existing in much of the church".
10. "Nearly half the believers in the world today are held under a spiritual 'plantation mentality'" with leaders seeking only to build and preserve their own empires. 11. "Satan's 'strand of three cords' (the control spirit, the political spirit and the religious spirit) by which he is yoking multitudes of believers, must be confronted and removed from our midst." Then the church may "come into her ultimate glory". 12. Much of the church uses "guilt, pressure, manipulation and control to compel men to do what we think they should do". We must "remove the cancer from our midst". 13. A major factor in the Christian Civil War will be strife over money. 14. Another will be tradition/ a religious spirit/ Pharisaism vs. what God is currently doing. "The more anointed a new movement is, the more these traditionalists will be threatened by it, and the more vehemently they will attack it." 15. Some of those who oppose denominations will nevertheless keep others in fear and bondage to their own self-will. 16. There will be a fight between the true unity we have in Christ and the false unity of political expediency, tradition, way of life, etc. 17. The conflict will be between Christians who are heavenly-minded/ Spirit-led (Blues) and intellectual/ Mind-led (Grays). 18. The only way for true unity to occur is to rout the forces of spiritual slavery and oppression. 19. Unity and peace must be based on truth. 20. Many will fight simply out of loyalty for their organisation or denomination, not through true conviction. 21. There will appear to be a "total meltdown of Christianity [which] will result in one of her greatest victories ... This will cause the Lord's champions to ascend the mountain into higher realms of the Spirit than they have gone before. As they do, Faith, Hope and Charity will be revealed, and seen from even greater distances than would have otherwise been possible. 22. "The black church ... will be the primary force to bring about the ultimate victory," despite attacks from Satan and Islam. After the war, there will be no white or black church. 23. "There will be an entirely new definition of Christianity, which the Lord Jesus Himself has already written. The world will know us by our love." 24. There will be a New Breed of Spiritual Leaders, who will fight for the Blues. They may not initially be appreciated. 25. The Blues will be fighting for the liberation of the Grays, not to destroy them. "We are not fighting against people, but the forces that deceive and bind them." 26. Those who will not comply must be removed from their place of influence. "These can be distinguished by their attempts to spy out our liberty and yoke the church with bondage, or sow the doctrines the Scriptures call leaven." 27. "All the movements that are working to bring about the unity of the church really have been sent by God ... .We must do all that we can to strengthen every relationship, and reconcile with all those that we can." 28. We must "strengthen the essential truths of our faith, within ourselves", without compromise, and not follow organisations for their own sake. 29. We need to "judge ourselves, lest we be judged", casting out any spirit of control in us. [2]
