Justin Bieber may have canceled his show Sunday night after being struck down by an illness, but he's bounced back and is ready to headline a show in New York. The VMA-nominated teen star tweeted that he has been cleared by his doctors to perform on Tuesday night (August 31) at Madison Square Garden, where he will film part of his upcoming 3-D movie.
"Ok the doctor said we aren't 100 percent but we are ready to ROcK!! Been cleared. MSG let's do this!!!" he tweeted on Monday. "Let's fill the streets of NYC! Rehearsals tonight were incredible...got off to a rocky start because wasnt feeling right but then after lunch kicked in. 2morrow at MSG!! Thanks to everyone who came to help today...this movie is coming together."
Fans in attendance on Tuesday will get the chance to be a part of his 3-D movie, which made Bieber seem genuinely excited. "2morrow let's fill the streets of NYC with Purple and even if you dont have tix we will b celebratin n maybe u might just find ur way inside," he wrote. "Tomorrow is a celebration....we are living a dream and playing MADISON SQUARE GARDEN in NYC!! WHO IS COMING!!?!?!? SEE U THERE!!!!!"
Rumors have been circulating for weeks that other celebrities will make cameos at the show, and among the big names in the rumor mill is "Never Say Never" guest Jaden Smith. "Special security arrangements are being made for Jaden, who will appear onstage, and his family, including [his father] Will, to be in the audience for the concert," a source told the New York Post.
Earlier this month, the film's director, Jon Chu, spoke to MTV News about the flick. "[It's] a movie for his fans, a movie for people who don't know him, and we're gonna tell the underdog story of where he came from," he explained.
"Because it's a really fascinating story and it has a lot to do with our sort of digital lifestyle now. He was able to do what corporations try to do now when they use YouTube and they don't even know what to do with it yet. It's a pretty cool story for our time."
Good news for Justin Bieber fans: Despite being very ill, the tiny teen idol has decided to push on and perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Tuesday night.
The 16-year-old pop sensation was forced to cancel a show on Sunday night in Syracuse, NY after he became sick with an unspecified illness. Justin tweeted that night to fans:
really dont know what to twitter...im getting rest right now and trying to recover from the not so good news from the doctor...im gonna be ok just need 2 rest but i wanted all of u 2 know i never want to let any of u down. ever. i really appreciate all the kind words. this really sucks. Kanye West forced fanbases to collide on Monday, when he released his Justin Bieber "Runaway Love" remix, which also features Raekwon.
What began as a mere social-networking brainstorm both utilizes the contemporary pop-chart topping talents of both West and the Biebs and incorporates some of Raekwon's vintage verses from "Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuthing Ta F--- Wit." So how do loyal fans react when a teen pop sensation, a master producer-turned-rapper and a hip-hop legend combine forces?
For the answers, we've looked across different blogs and MTVNews.com to see fan comments and reactions to the new record. While the remix seemed acceptable to most listeners, others thought the blend of Bieber with the two MCs went together like oil and water.
McShanful wrote on the hip-hop blog 2dopeboyz.com: "I thought this turned out pretty dope. But judging by the comments, this remix is a fail because Wu-Tang fans don't want to hear JB on a classic beat. And JB fans don't know or even care who Raekwon is, nor do they appreciate this classic beat. Nice try, 'Ye."
Readers on both pop and hip-hop websites couldn't see the benefit of including Bieber's song in the collaboration, stating that the current prince of bubblegum pop discredited the rappers' integrity.
"I'm a hard-core fan of Kanye's earlier music, but now I honestly think he will do anything if it gives him some fraction of publicity or money," Leni wrote on JustJared.com. "Justin Bieber? I mean really?"
Legacye wrote on on PerezHilton.com: "Oh ... dear ... lord. That was awful. Kanye's part of the track sounded fine, but Justin's music is just TOO tweeny-pop to fit in well with adult R and B. 1/5 from me."
And though Bieber's collaboration with Ludacris on "Baby" has been a huge hit with his followers, some were less than pleased by this much this harder-edged track.
"OMG !! That is just horrible," KT wrote on on Popeater.com. "Justin is the only good thing on the song, but you have to sit thru that no talent thug mumbling and talking his way thru the verses before Justin sprinkles his magic on the song. PLEASE Justin don't team up with these no talent thug rappers because your management says so. All it shows is how much talent you have and how little talent the rappers have. No wonder they all want a piece of Justin's genius. YAYYY JUSTIN!!"
But other fans were supportive of the boundary-breaking trio.
"The song actually wasn't that bad, and as much as I hate to say it, Bieber sounded a little like Michael Jackson," Ericarbo436 wrote on MTVNews.com.
"A young youth, rockin' the gold tooth!" Börte Petrarchia wrote on PerezHilton.com. "What a great collaboration that was. I think some were uneasy about it when they first heard, but I wasn't. F--- this elitist bullsh-- about who should work with who in music. It's all about creating wonderful tracks, and this is fantastic. Kanye's back, better than ever, so I'm happy."
Rwar wrote on 2dopeboyz.com: "So good I had to post twice. Can we collectively acknowledge how important Kanye West is to music? Who else could make this happen?"

Cotton Mather (1663 – 1728) was a socially and politically influential New England Puritan minister who wrote nearly 450 books and pamphlets. In one of his books, The Family Well-Ordered, Mather taught on how to make a family well-ordered and pleasing to God, although he often wrote in an unflattering way about his wives in his personal diary. [1] He was also known for his hell-fire and brimstone preaching, although he struggled with stuttering. [2]
Living a Separated Life Puritans, by definition, felt that the English Reformation had not gone far enough, and that the Church of England was tolerant of practices which they associated with the Catholic Church. Puritanism wanted to purify their national church by eliminating every shred of Catholic influence. They advocated greater "purity" of worship and doctrine, as well as personal and group piety.[3]
Puritan marriage choices were influenced by young people’s inclination, by parents, and by the social rank of the persons involved. As a Puritan woman, she legally accepted her role as managing her husband’s household, fulfilling her duty of “keeping the home, educating her children, keeping and improving what is got by the industry of man.” [4]
Bounds were not set on enjoying sexuality within the bounds of marriage, as a gift from God. Wives were disciplined if they did not perform their sexual marital duties, in accordance with 1 Cor. 7 and other biblical passages. Puritans publicly punished drunkenness and sexual relations outside of marriage. [5]
The first Puritans of New England disapproved of Christmas celebrations, as did some other Protestant churches of the time. Celebration was outlawed in Boston from 1659 to 1681, and revoked in 1681 by an English-appointed governor who also revoked a Puritan ban against festivities on Saturday night. It was not until the mid-19th century that celebrating Christmas became fashionable in the Boston region. The colonies banned many secular entertainments, such as games of chance, maypoles, and drama, on moral grounds.
Puritans were not opposed to drinking alcohol in moderation.Laws banned the practice of individuals toasting each other: it led to wasting God's gift of beer and wine, as well as being carnal.
Cotton Mather's Education
Mather attended Boston Latin School, where his name was added to its Hall of Fame, and graduated from Harvard in 1678 at 16 years of age. After completing his post-graduate work, he joined his father, Increase Mather, as assistant pastor of Boston's original NorthChurch. In 1685 Mather assumed full responsibilities as pastor at the Church.
Personal Life Grief marked Cotton Mather's life. In 1686 he married Abigail Philips; they had nine children. She died in 1702, and he married again a year later to widow Mrs. Elizabeth Hubbard; they had six children. She died in 1713, then his last wife, Mrs. Lydia George, who went insane. Of his fifteen children, only six lived to adulthood and only two outlived him. Three widowed sisters depended largely on him, and he was burdened by severe money problems. [4]
Witch Trials Cotton Mather is often remembered for his role in the Salem witch trials. In Wonders of the Invisible World, he sided with the witch trial judges more so than he did with the accused women. He encouraged and supported the trials, which more often than not resulted in the deaths of the women accused.
Mather was in Salem to witness the execution of ex-minister George Burroughs for witchcraft. When, on Gallows Hill, Burroughs was able to recite the Lord's Prayer perfectly (something that witches were thought incapable of doing) and some in the crowd called for the execution to be stopped, Mather intervened, reminding those gathered that Burroughs had been duly convicted by a jury. Mather was given the official records of the Salem trials for use in preparation of a book that the judges hoped would favorably describe their role in the affair. [5]
After the trial, Cotton Mather was unrepentant for his role. Of the principal actors in the trial, only Cotton Mather and William Stoughton never admitted any guilt.
Decline of Power The Massachusetts Bay Colony had been an extreme, Bible-based community of "saints," whose existence was an example to the rest of the world. During Mather's lifetime the separation of church and state, the development of the frontier, and of a society absorbed in business, made the people's interest in church lessen.
His Death
Cotton Mather outlived his father by only five years, dying on February 13, 1728, in Boston. They are buried together in a tomb at Copp's Hill Burying Ground.
One Last Note Prior to Cotton Mather's birth, the Pilgrims witnessed the first UFO sighting in Boston.[6] As a young man, Mather saw an unidentified flying object as he looked through a telescope. Extraordinary as it was during that period in history, he saw a moving light across the surface of the moon.
Oh, the aftermath. It is nearly over, but it has been painful. I would like back all the sleep that I was deprived of. I slept even less than I anticipated I would. 2 hours on the first night. Excellent.
That said, it was, overall, definitely worth it. I have my gripes about the organisation, and there were a few things that are pretty shameful for such a long-running, established and seasoned festival. But when you get to see performances like that of Everything Everything, Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem and Funeral Party it is made all the better!
Obviously camping was awful. It had a few amusing moments. Some boys nearby quoting Toy Story. Another boy shouting 'Ben' in a strange voice for nearly an hour. On one day someone shouting "FUCK OFF!" then a pause "I FUCKING HATE CAMPING!".. I feel your pain. Waves of cheers were an auditory delight. The bass from Picadilly Party until nearly 5am shredded my famously fragile nerves.
There were moments of sheer joy. Tears at the wonder of Arcade Fire. Elation on seeing Kieran Hebden (Four Tet) in the flesh. Literal slack-jaw gawping at the energy of Funeral Party.
I'm probably going to pick out stand out performances and blog separately about those bands. But needless to say I was very lucky and fortunate and saw some fantastic acts.
But the organisers of Leeds Festival have left a sour taste in my mouth. Over the years they has put on this event they must have learnt an awful lot of lessons. Many things were vastly improved. But in my opinion they sold the soul of the festival to reignite some lack-lustre, nostalgia-provokers. There was little effort elsewhere on the bill. They should not have named the Dance Stage as such. The sound quality on the main stage was disastrous for many of the acts. Don't even get me started on the shambles that left my best friend devastated that was the performance by Mumford and Sons. Horrible advert folk. But nevertheless, if people next to you spoke you couldn't hear the band. WTF Leeds?! £180! I fucking brought my own accommodation, you twats!
Ahem.
I am clean now. I still have all my personal belongings and most of my dignity. Pictures are available on my Facebook.
Why don’t we make this clear, the way Republicans talk and the inference that Social Security and Unemployment Benefits are somehow a form of SOCIALIST WELFARE makes me sick. They are talking now about raising the age to 70, privatizing Social Security and certainly they have been obstructing Unemployment Benefit extensions to those who are out of work due to their incompetence and greed.
Once and for all, we, the working class pay for these things…money is deducted from our paychecks during those times when we have been able to work…notwithstanding a Republican administration that always manages to screw up the economy and get us back at the unemployment lines.
We pay for these things, they are not give-aways, we certainly have just as much a right to collect these as the super rich has a right to make a profit. So stop the nonsense you are advocating. Do you want to balance the budget and reduce the national debt? Then tax the super rich whom Bush and you Republicans gave a very generous tax cut. The lost revenues from these tax cuts are the real cause of our economic crisis; coupled with the tremendous amounts of treasure that has gone to two unnecessary wars.
Our meager Social Security is not causing a dent on these nor are the unemployment benefits we get…get over it Republicans, it is the wars and the tax breaks for the rich. And please don’t come up with the lame scare tactic that if we let their tax cuts expire we will be going into a deep recession…that is pure unadulterated crap.
The fact that they are now holding on to their money, not making loans and just plain hoarding is just one more indication that one: the Bush tax cuts don’t work and two: TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS is bullshit. So, what are the poor and the middle class supposed to do? Take out more loans so that those in the 2% of income in our country can keep their Hamptons second home? Extending the Bush tax cuts is paramount to raising taxes on our children and grandchildren.
And furthermore, if you really do think that you are going to alter or repeal the 14th Amendment to fit your xenophobic, racist agenda you are sadly mistaken…fair minded Americans, those in the middle…will not stand for it…and lefties like me will chew you a new asshole as I throw my hissy fit. So, I advise you to get over it.
Now that JB is collaborating with Kanye West and Raekwon, does he have a future in the hip-hop community, or should he stick to pop/R&B hybrid he’s made his own? A magazine editor, record label exec and a musician weigh in!
Little Justin Bieber is about to play with the big boys! Now that the teen singing sensation is collaborating with hip-hop heavyweights Kanye West and the Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon, we had to ask the question: does the Biebster have a future in the HH industry, or should he stick to the genre he knows best?
“He can’t really become the next big hip-hop artist, but as he does more stuff with Kanye and Raekwon there could be a chance that hip-hop can front him even more. It won’t come off as posture,” Jermaine Hall, the editor-in-chief of Vibe magazine, tells HollywoodLife.com. “You can tell he grew up listening to the genre, so it doesn’t come off as false. But will he be as big as Kanye or Jay-Z in this game? Probably not.”
If Justin, 16, DOES want to become a big star in the hip-hop community, Hall does think he’s surrounding himself with the perfect people. “He’s definitely picking the right people! Raekwon is a great pick as is Kanye. If he’s able to ever get Jay-Z to co-sign, I think that would be the ultimate get for him. So far the people he’s hand-picking to collaborate with are on point.” He adds, “As Justin gets older he should graduate to a more Justin Timberlake kind of lane – he should strive to be the next JT, not the next Jay-Z.”
Agrees Jeff Sledge, the VP of A&R for Battery/Jive Records, “I don’t think I’d ever call him a hip-hop artist, but he IS a young kid that’s grown up in a hip-hop world. Will he ever be a hip-hop artist in a convential way? No. He’s a white kid from Canada, but he does [have credibility in that world because] he hangs out with Diddy, Jay-Z and Beyonce….he’s even been on BET.”
Sledge says that Justin definitely shouldn’t try to deviate from the musical path he’s on – he’s good at what he does, he’s found his niche and should stick with it! “He shouldn’t be striving to make himself the next JT or Usher. His path is different. The world is different now than when those guys came up. Hip-hop is part of his life.”
Even Raekwon himself has said that instead of going more hip-hop, he and Kanye are going to move towards JB’s brand of pop. “Yeezy called me and we gon’ make it pop,” he said. “At the end of the day we’re all doing our thing in the game and for them to even just have a conversation and just put my name in it, it feels good. It feels good to respect what I do and I respect what they do. And we gon’ make a hit. Justin got his own fanbase and me and Yeezy got our own fanbase and we gon’ make it happen. We gon’ make a good record.”
Staying true to himself is a good thing, according to rocker Tara Ellis, who tells us, “I don’t think Justin could fit that mold but at the same time, Kanye has blurred the lines on what an artist can be and do, so Justin is certainly in good company if he happens to take on that challenge. But let’s be honest – Justin Bieber should remain in the spotlight of what comes naturally to him.”
The seemingly indestructible Bieber canceled a show scheduled for tonight at the New York State Fair in glorious Syracuse, NY. He will instead perform Wednesday night.
A statement of the Fair's website reads, "Due to an illness and under doctor's orders, Justin Bieber has been forced to re-schedule his Sunday, Aug. 29 concert at the New York State Fair to Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 7 pm."
Bieber alluded to the illness on his Twitter page yesterday, writing, "Been super sick lately but u guys are carrying me. thank u for the love."
Oh, "Baby"! Justin Bieber will be performing at the first ever Nickelodeon Mega Music Fest!

It was just announced that Jaden Smith will be joining Justin Bieber on stage at his concert at Madison Square Garden to film a scene for Justin's upcoming 3D movie. Justin and Jaden will be singing their song from The Karate Kid, "Never Say Never."
*This concert was when he was performing in New Jersey.
The old tree is strong and it still yields blossoms that are beautiful and fragrant. For more than two hundred years these blossoms have turned into delectable fruits which most everyone has been able to partake of them. They linger on the tree, grow, mature and timely ripen ready for the harvest. But some of us have seen the tree blossoming; the fruits ripening and then withering away knocked to the ground by the winds of inequity and hatred.
Yes, we have not been able to eat its forbidden fruit. There have been orchard keepers who would much rather see the fruit fall to the ground and rot than to even give us a miserly slice of that freedom fruit. What a shame, in the land of plenty, in the land of the free, that wonderful land that has fed so many from the tree of hope and justice; has denied us for centuries what is rightfully ours.
What the Constitution says to all of us so elegantly end eloquently is “I am that old blossom-bearing tree, I am the tree of life that will sustain you and give you equality and hope; for those who planted me, those very Founding Fathers wanted me grow to nourish everyone living in this great land of ours.
But I also give you shade, a respite from the harshness of the sun and the cruelty of the elements; for I stand tall next to a life-bearing creek filled with the waters of kindness and understanding…I am not growing in a separate grove that is the sole property of some greedy landlord who once came and usurped the land where I dwelled…he is dead and buried now…I am here for everyone and I am here to stay. I give shade and fruit abundantly but not in separate or in unequal amounts; for separate is not equal because I am the tree of equality.
Oh, the winds of change are in the air; the cold winter is already barreling down the ravines and valleys to assault me as it has done year after year. After my harvest is gathered, my leaves wither and fall and I am left standing naked; to be raped by that harsh pervert that is winter; in all his malevolence, my limbs are stabbed with the daggers of lies, ignorance and superstition. Yes I suffer and I cry tears of sap that are bitter and sweet.
Once more I defeat that grim intruder that attempts but fails to turn me into firewood. I am strong and beautiful just like my planters intended and I emerge from that frigid intolerance to blossom once more and to provide shelter and sustenance to everyone alike…no, no, there are no special qualifications to enjoy my shade…it matters not to me if you insert a penis into a vagina; that does not give you a privileged place in my shade because I am here to extend my branches to everyone…even though there are some of you who want to apply topiary techniques and trim some of my branches to satisfy your perceived idea of aesthetics.
But I am patient and tolerant, benevolent and generous. I will only deny you shelter and food if you prevent others from partaking of my offerings. You will not be able to define what constitutes a requirement to be near me nor will I allow it for you to define marriage for the rest of the shade and fruit seekers. Because when you do that, and you do it by unfairly distorting the truth, by purveying hatred and division; you have forfeited the right to stand beneath my branches and you have given up the seat at the table of abundance. Though you may still be hungry for that vile and venomous hatred I am not the tree that will quench that thirst or satiate that hunger.
Go on then on your merry way, stand under another lesser tree and see if it provides you as good a shade and as delectable a fruit as I have; for its shade does not comfort and the yield of the harvest is meager.

Carrying illegal sub stance is strictly not allowed, regardless of your status in life. That is what Paris Hilton is experiencing right now after she caught with illegal possession of illegal drugs. Not just ordinary drugs but cocaine. Paris Hilton was caught in Las Vegas. According to the report, Paris Hilton was with her boyfriend when they were pulled over by Nevada police after they were suspecting sniffing marijuana because smoke was coming out from their vehicle. When the police stopped Paris Hilton's car, they inspected the car and found cocaine in good number. Paris Hilton and her companion were immediately escorted to the police station for further investigation. Paris Hilton immediately called her attorney and Paris Hilton was released immediately.
I WAS MUCH TOO QUICK TO CRITICIZE…THERE WERE INDEED SOME MIRACLES, ONLY THEY WERE NOT WIDESPREAD
COULD THIS BE SAINT BECK THE DELIVERER, THE DIGNITY RESTORER?
It was reported by some attending the now legendary meeting at the Lincoln Memorial that there were indeed some miracles…only a handfull of people experienced it. It had something to do with the purity of their soul and the nature of their true feelings towards Beck, race relations and the like.
It was said that a small group of people over on the left side of the gathering actually saw a halo surrounding Mr. Beck. It was almost instantaneous reaction; you could observe about two dozen people raise their hands up in the air…you know, the same they do at their churches.
Then there was another quiet moment when just about everyone stood still. If there was one miraculous pregnant pause this was it…It lasted for a good 45 seconds. Now, what are the odds that 50,000 people or whatever the number was would all be silent for about a minute? And this was not a moment of silence called upon by anyone…no, sir, this was a manifestation of a miracle.
Later on, as people were leaving, some reporters interviewed them and some even said that they indeed saw a halo…only they described it as his aura…how wonderful it was, the man is a saint. He shall lead us out of the storm, help us through these troubled waters and restore our dignity and our country to its rightful place as a WHITE ANGLO-SAXON, PROTESTANT, HETROSEXUAL nation.
