But also don't forget Muslims don't have a choice in what to name their child. In Holland for example, the Moroccan government hands the Dutch, a list of acceptable Islamic names for Dutch Moroccan citizens to name their children. There is also a Turkish list of acceptable names, but is not as rigidly enforced as the Moroccan one. No Moroccan immigrant can actually, drop their Moroccan citizenship [as far as they are concerned]. So when you have Dutch-Moroccan politicians, they all [or almost all] have dual nationality, which raises obvious questions about loyalty.

Muslims don't have the same freedom to name their children, so there would be a disproportionate amount of names, after either one of Muhammad's many wives or Muhammad himself. There is the politician in Afghanistan named Abdullah Abdullah ~ named after Muhammad's father, who died before Muhammad was born, and means the servant of Allah, of course the very different Allah, of pre-Islamic times ~ this Allah had daughters.

In Morocco the Berber of the Atlas Mountains [they're all Berbers] who resisted the Islamic invasion the longest, still battle with the government over names for the children. They want to give their children Berber names, but it is difficult if not impossible to register the child's birth without the name being entirely an Islamic one. There are also similar stories, of the forcible Islamization of names, in Libya.
