A PLEA TO STOP GAY BASHING –

Tyler Clementi

FANATICAL FUNDAMENTALISTS REACT TO GAY TEEN SUICIDES

SOME APALLING REACTIONS FROM THEM NOT ANY DIFFERENT THAN THOSE OF THE PHELPPS ASSHOLES…JUST AS DISGUSTING AND NOT VERY CHRISTIAN

Most everyone in America has reacted with concern, disgust and condemnation to the recent wave of bullying and gay bashing that has driven a small number of young men to take their own lives.

Just like the outrageous protests that this asshole Phelpps is carrying at the funerals of our servicemen killed in the wars, these few Fundamentalist Christians are making repugnant and odious statements about the suicides. This of course is totally unacceptable to all of the sane, empathetic and normal majority of Americans.

Folks, we have to stand solidly against this kind of crap…it simply should not be even allowed to take root…the bullying, the homophobia, the hate crimes and then the claim that those who took their lives had it coming and they deserved to die. That is simply unacceptable and must be met with the strongest repulsion from the rest of the American public…they have to be told that what they are doing is not acceptable and met with resistance…if we don’t then they are going to think that we approve of their crap.

"Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself". - Harvey S. Firestone

Alec Henriksen

In his blog http://www.izzoiz.com/ says it very well:

“Another teen who may have been gay has taken his own life — and this time he was from Utah, where a Mormon apostle just a few days ago called same-sex attraction “unnatural” and “impure” and said it can be changed.

We’ve long been saying on this blog that those in positions of power who spew homophobia have the blood of gay teen suicide victims on their hands — and we can only hope the reality of this will finally take hold in the mainstream.

PrideInUtah.com reports that 18-year-old Alec Henriksen, a Utah native who was a student at Earlham College in Indiana, was found dead on Sept. 30:

Alec Henriksen was a brilliant young computer programmer. And while suicide is always a terrible idea, I want to use his death as a call-to-action for anyone who cares for these young people. Please, help them. Love them for who they are. Put them in touch with the Trevor Project if possible.

PrideInUtah.com adds that the website from which it obtained the information about Henriksen’s suicide — and presumably about his sexual orientation — has since been taken down."
