Considering that they took the last part out of Superman's "truth, justice, and the American way," and even de-Americanized Captain America, it's no surprise that Wonder Woman is getting purged of patriotism.

Out go the white stars on blue, a reference to the American flag. In their place we get more red stars than a Soviet May Day parade.
