NATO IN THE ATLANTIC – NOPO IN THE PACIFIC

We need an organization like that in the Pacific sphere of influence

太平洋デファンス -태평양 방어 -太平洋防御 - PACIFIC OCEAN PERTAHANAN -

The U.S. should think about starting an organization much like NATO in the Pacific. Japan, Korea, Malasia, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia and any other peace loving nation that wants to share the burden of defending themselves.

What we can no longer afford is to defend other prosperous countries in perpetuity. World War II and the Korean War have ended more than fifty years ago and we are still defending or acting as their military defense mechanism to countries that are more than capable of defending themselves…they are big boys now.

I see no need to have large numbers of bases with large numbers of personnel stationed across the globe. There should be but a few, in strategic places but the defense of their nations should be entrusted to the organization they are part of.
