The Day America Lost her Innocence - April 19, 1995: Oklahoma City Bombing

OKLAHOMA CITY — Sixteen years after a terrorist bomb destroyed the Oklahoma City federal building, survivors of the attack and family members of its 168 victims plan to gather at the building's former site to observe the anniversary of the blast.

Ceremonies are planned Tuesday at the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum to remember those who were killed and injured in the April 19, 1995, bombing. The bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was the deadliest terrorist attack on U.S. soil prior to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Gov. Mary Fallin will be the principal speaker at the anniversary ceremony. Also addressing the crowd will be Donna Weaver. Weaver's husband, Michael Weaver was an attorney for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and was killed in the attack.
