Spout: Twitter, Facebook and news style
Spout is a new way to manage the flow of messages, tweets and comments you receive on Twitter, through Facebook and Google Reader in a different way. Spout displays different types of information in a way cool, giving a central role to the text, and the tail is a client. You can not send messages, but is simply a reader that converts iPad in a window (with design) is open to the network.
The app, Universal, is available on the App Store to 0.79 €. I've already scaricata.sto moving.
The items end up on your device, turning, rolling and sliding on the screen, the center will stop for a moment, like a leaf on a pond before a new message to take the place of the former. Touching the surface of a browser built in the APA will send you straight to the source of the news, leaving quietly observe the hypnotic Spout.

The three app favorite Tom Merritt
Tom Merritt's Tech News Today was blocked by TUAW to tell what are your three favorite apps for the iPhone. Merritt, who has a lot to do with technology, was caught at the last CES, and has filed three applications rather famous.
The first is Twitter. The official social network app, Tweetie, borrowed to represent an excellent demonstration of an excellent app for iPhone and iPod touch. Merritt claims to use on a daily basis, despite early had not attracted.
TripIt allows you to organize your trip via mail, allows the traveler to keep organized Merritt for their travels.
In the last Fruit Ninja, the hilarious game where the player through the Rapids on the screen shot must slice fruit are launched into the air, represents a great pastime for Merritt, simple and lightweight, for use in dead moments.

Twizzler, a tweak to remove the annoying trend bar from Twitter [Cydia]
Yesterday, the official Twitter client developers for iPhone have released a major update to this application that, among the new features introduced (and removed, see support for Twitlonger), presents a new bar dedicated to trending topics. This innovation, which goes to appear at the top of the timeline, it was pretty much criticized by all users. However, thanks to a new tweak Twizzler, present in Cydia, you can remove this annoying bar official Twitter application installed on your iPhone.
The tweak, developed from Chpwn, will simply remove the presence of the bar of trending topics, thus restoring the normal use of Twitter for iPhone. Will not install any new icon on the Home of the iPhone and you won't have to adjust any settings. If you want to restore the bar in question, simply disable the extension of Mobile Substrate "Twizzler" via SBSettings or similar, or uninstall tweak from Cydia.
Twizzler can be downloaded for free via the BigBoss repo.

Jailbreak Untethered iOS 4.3: The exploit will be released next week?
In the message posted on Twitter by i0n1c reads:
I heard that SecureTips release an exploit for untethered iOS 4.3 after next weekend. Follow for more news.
Apparently, if this option were to be confirmed, could be released a new jailbreak for untethered iOS 4.3 before it is published this version of firmware from Apple, or shortly after the release of same. Perhaps you're wondering how this is possible: the answer is rather curious.
That, according to Stefan Esser, SecureTips would be an anonymous hacker who works for Apple. Therefore it is easy to assume that the person in question has already been able to thoroughly study the new firmware 4.3 which will be released later this month we remember, so having a way to work on new vulnerabilities that allow even the jailbreak this version of IOS.
At the moment there is no further information about it, but as always we will keep you updated.

Letter from AmeriKat: Happy Thanksgiving!

"Deploying this statute to combat online copyright infringement seems almost like using a bunker-busting cluster bomb, when what you need is a precision-guided missile."

"Few things are more important to the future of the American economy and job creation than protecting our intellectual property. That is why legislation is supported by both labor and industry, and Democrats and republications are standing together."
"Blacklisting entire sites out of the domain name system is a reckless scheme that will undermine global Internet infrastructure and censor legitimate online speech."

"What earthly sense would it make to prefer goods that are manufactured abroad over those manufactured in the United States?"

Hard Rock Hotel Holdings LLC, which runs the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, was sued in the Second Circuit for the Southern District of New York (Manhattan) in September by Hard Rock Cafe International Inc, the Florida-based owner of the Hard Rock trade marks. The trade mark owner alleged, amongst other things, that the reality show authorized by the Las Vegas company, "Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel", was tarnishing the Hard Rock brand. The lawsuit sought cancellation of the Las Vegas hotel's licence to use the marks. The casino has now fired back in a court filing two weeks ago which has claimed that it has done nothing wrong and is only a victim of "systematic legal and business harassment" by the Florida owner. The casino is also counterclaiming for breach of contract and tortious interference with business relations. The casino's filing also says that:
"The Cafe complains about a range of alleged trademark abuses that in many cases it has long known about, tolerated or even approved. Most notably, the Cafe claims to be shocked and disturbed by the popular reality television show 'Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel,' filmed at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas – despite the fact that this show and the lively behavior it portrays have already been on the air for two years; depicts an event similar to the 'Detox' party held at one of the Cafe's properties (Biloxi, Miss); and has brought enormous positive publicity to the Hard Rock brand."
For more information see this article in the Las Vegas Sun and Los Angeles Times.

This is why I love HOOTSUITE!

hootsuite iphone app
Hootsuite.com is to Twitter what Gmail is to email. It’s like a swiss army knife for twitter. So if you haven’t tried it yet I highly recommend it. It’s my favorite twitter client and it’s web based. You get all the benefits of the cloud and none of the BS that comes from traditional desktop software. IE software updates syncing between multiple computers etc etc…
The new Hootstuite iPhone App (iTunes link) includes all of that functionality. The app is snappy, easy to use, and slick. It allows you to go between you mentions, DMs, etc with the swipe of the finger. Just like paging through your apps. It also has infinite scrolling ala Google Reader. I’ve been using the product for a few weeks as Ryan Holmes aka @invoker gave it to me to check out. You can get the app starting December 10th, 2009.
Pros:
* Multiple Twitter Accounts
* It’s fast
* It’s clean
* The UI is very well done
* It does stats
Cons:
* Initial setup wasn’t as simple as it could have been.
Conclusion:
IMHO the Hootsuite iPhone app is the best twitter client for the iPhone.

Twittering and Facebooking At The Altar
he says
"This was just done to be funny - we really don't Facebook THAT often :).
I have a lot of family scattered around the country and we all use Facebook a lot to keep in touch. So when Tracy and I were engaged, most of my family found out via Facebook because we updated our statuses.
I surprised not only my guests, but also Tracy by pulling out my phone and posting on Facebook and Twitter from the altar during out wedding.
I had her phone ready in my pocket, so when she asked for it I could hand it to her. No one knew about this except the minister, and myself."
Here is the twitter post:
