The operation is over

Colin Monteath in the Kelley Range Arthurs Pass. Photo: Bob McKerrow
Bob looks great ....now he'll be able to get down on his knees and pray five times a day again...amazing machines here that help him bend the new knees which will speed recovery. Knowing Bob he'll push himself and will soon be on a zimmer frame...then a bicycle...then skis...you'll see! Lovely nurses here too..the one at the front door told me Bob had already escaped. I wanted to bring him red wine but thought the hospital wouldn't approve...so, red grapes had to suffice. Bob is not up writing so asked me to write this

Not so bright after having surgery for bi lateral knee joint replacement. The pain was the worst I have ever experiened once I had to start walking on them the day after the operation. It is better now and I am making progress on rehabilitation. Aroha my daughter is on the right, there to comfort her Dad.
