Presented only the charger for mobile phones

By year's end, as we know now for months, all mobile phones sold in Europe will have to be reloaded with a single type of charger. The choice, commissioned by the European Commission, is dictated primarily by the ecological requirements and to facilitate the lives of people who use multiple devices.

Thanks to cooperation from fourteen manufacturers and the European Commission, the project called "One charger for all" has finally become reality. On December 29, 2010 were in fact published the new technical standards for mobile data-enabled ", and yesterday the European Commission Vice President Antonio Tajani received a copy of the universal charger compatible out of the hands of Bridget Cosgrave, CEO of DIGITALEUROPE, the main association representing the European digital technology industry.

"A small revolution for consumers - says Tajani - which we hope can be extended as soon as possible to all the other equipment in need of electric charge, such as MP3 and Tablet PCs."

The agreement provides that by November all the new phones are able to use the new universal charger with a USB interface. "With the launch of this new unit - said Bridget Cosgrave, CEO of DIGITALEUROPE - will reduce the number of charger on the market since the same apparatus, made to last at least 10 years, can also be used in case of purchase of a new phone. In parallel, it also will reduce the amount of electronic waste '

Apple has also adhered to this decision, but as the deadline postponed to November, it is likely that the iPhone will not take five still the universal standard.
